What Is Hydrafacial?

A HydraFacial is a facial treatment that uses patented technology to cleanse, exfoliate, extract impurities, and hydrate the skin simultaneously. The treatment comprises several steps such as cleansing, exfoliation, gentle acid peel, extraction of debris and impurities, hydration, and protection.

The HydraFacial device uses a gentle suction technique to extract impurities, such as blackheads, oil, and debris, from the pores. This helps deep-cleanse the skin and improve the appearance of enlarged pores.

  • Minimize sun exposure to the treatment area for at least two weeks before your appointment.
  • Avoid using skincare products containing retinoids, alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), beta hydroxy acids (BHAs), or exfoliating scrubs for at least one week before your appointment.
  • Avoid other facial treatments, such as chemical peels, microdermabrasion, or laser treatments, for at least one week before your HydraFacial appointment.
  • Avoid touching the treated area
  • Protect your skin from sun exposure and apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher
  • Avoid using harsh skincare products for at least 24 to 48 hours after the Hydrafacial

Hydrafacials are not painful. The suction and exfoliation sensations may feel similar to a light massage on the skin.

There is no downtime associated with this treatment

Amount of sessions can vary depending on the patient’s goals, but a series of sessions spaced several weeks apart is often recommended for optimal results. Maintenance treatments may be recommended to prolong the benefits.
