what you should know

What Is Permanent Makeup?

Sudbury Med Spa offers permanent makeup treatment, which involves adding pigmentation to the skin in specific colors based on your skin tone and desired outcome. The pigmentation is applied in a way that mimics the effects of traditional makeup, but it won’t smudge or wear off like regular makeup does.

Permanent makeup can enhance the appearance of your lips, eyebrows, or eyelashes. Permanent makeup can also help improve the appearance of facial scars and treat skin conditions like vitiligo.

Benefits

Who Is It For?

Permanent makeup is a technique that offers a convenient and long-lasting solution for those who want to achieve a flawless look without the hassle of daily makeup application.

What You Should Know

Find answers to common questions about the procedure, ensuring you feel informed and confident about your journey.

Micropigmentation, also known as permanent makeup, is a cosmetic procedure that involves depositing pigments into the upper layers of the skin’s dermal layer to create long-lasting enhancements. Unlike traditional tattooing, which goes deeper into the skin, micropigmentation targets the upper layers of the dermis, resulting in more subtle and natural-looking results.

  • Avoid waxing or tweezing, or tinting the eyebrows or other treated areas for at least one week before your appointment.
  • Arrive to your appointment clean and free of makeup, moisturizers, or other skincare products.
  • Keep the treated area clean and dry for the first 24-48 hours
  • Avoid picking or scratching
  • Protect the treated area from sun exposure and apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher
